Owen Media Partners and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters sign new long-term publishing agreement for Canadian Trade Index, Canada's highest trafficked industrial directory July 18, 2008
MISSISSAUGA, ON, July 17 /CNW/ - Owen Media Partners (www.owen-media.com), operators of North America's largest online industrial network and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) are pleased to announce the signing of a new, long-term agreement that will feature Owen Media Partners as the exclusive publisher of CME's Canadian Trade Index (CTI).

"We are very proud of our relationship with Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters and of the success of the CTI," says Hugh Owen, president of Owen Media Partners Inc. "Going forward, we will be investing heavily in the content and functionality of the CTI website, leveraging it into our family of successful MacRAE's Industrial Directory sites."

"Improvements are happening already," says Mr. Owen. "It's our intent to solidify the CTI as a leading edge, web-based publishing tool and I'm pleased to announce that last night we launched a new website for the CTI. There are new features for both advertisers and users and we're planning on more investments and improvements to the site over the balance of this year."

"We are pleased to enhance our longstanding history with Owen Media to ensure that the CTI will continue to be Canada's leading industrial directory," says CME President, Jayson Myers. "In today's globally-competitive economy, complacency is not an option and I believe that the move to a web-based tool will solidify the CTI today and in the future."

Canada's top industrial directory as recognized by comScore, the Canadian Trade Index (www.ctidirectory.com) has been under exclusive license to Owen Media Partners since 1998.

With Canada's top industrial audience of over 600,000 monthly users, the CTI serves more than 1.2 million pages of detailed industrial information on Canada's top 30,000 industrial companies every month, including nearly 100,000 product listings under more than 20,000 industrial headings. This new agreement lays the foundation for Owen Media Partners to continue to make significant investments in the CTI to accelerate this market dominance.
