| The Electronic Recycling Association donates much needed computer equipment to local Edmonton Charities |
August 25, 2008 |
CALGARY, Aug. 25 /CNW/ - On Friday 29th of August 2008, the ERA (www.era.ca) together with MP Laurie Hawn will be donating much needed computer equipment to two local Charities in the Edmonton area. The Edmonton Brain Injury Relearning Society and The Hope Mission are the charities who will be benefitting from the ERA's Donations on this occasion.
The computer equipment which is being donated to these Charities has been collected from various companies throughout the Edmonton region. Without the services of the ERA, this electronic equipment could have easily found its way into a landfill causing untold long term environmental damage. Instead, the ERA have refurbished this equipment and put it to excellent use in the local community.
The ERA is a non-for profit organization working to help companies and the public deal with unwanted electronic items. We are the only non profit organization that actually donates computers at no charge to local schools, charities, non-profit groups, libraries, elderly homes, and other community based organizations.
