OTTAWA, Dec. 11 /CNW Telbec/ - On Thursday December 13, the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) and the Canadian Police Research Centre (CPRC) will release the results of its 2007 study Keeping Canadians Safe: A Technology, Research and Development, and Emergency Preparedness Situational Analysis of Canadian First Responders.

The study presents results from a survey, the country's first, of 144 Chiefs (or equivalent) from Fire, Police, Paramedic and Emergency Response Organizations. The survey is intended to better understand their use and application of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), identify common issues and trends, and clarify the significance and the role that the CPRC could provide in working with all Canadian First Responders.
